Sigh and Swoon Over Swan Lake at the New York City Ballet

One of the most famous ballets of all time is returning to enrapture a fresh audience. Swan Lake at the New York City Ballet is your chance to take in a timeless classic.

NYCB Presents a Can’t-Miss Ballet Classic Ballerina in white performing Swan Lake

The ballet will be performed this fall, from September 19th to October 1st, 2017 at David H. Koch Theater.

The Performance

The central role in Swan Lake is Odette, the Swan Queen who is under an evil sorcerer’s spell. She must spend her days as a swan swimming on a lake of tears, and returns to her true form only at night.

The sorcerer’s daughter, Odile, is played by the same dancer. She’s the infamous Black Swan who impersonates Odette to trick the handsome prince who is in love with her. The challenging role of Odette/Odile is one many ballet dancers dream of playing.

The NYCB performance features choreography from Peter Martins set to Tchaikovsky’s classic, heartbreaking score.

Ticket Information

The ballet is set for a two-week run, with performances both in the afternoon and evening. You can purchase tickets on the ballet company's website in advance. The theater has orchestra seating and first through third ring seating.

If you’re planning on taking in one of these breathtaking performances, make sure you book your stay with us at Courtyard LaGuardia Airport Hotel.
